Kurt-Jürgen Freiherr von Lützow (7 August 1892 – 20 July 1961) was a German general during World War II and recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross with Oak Leaves ((ドイツ語:Ritterkreuz des Eisernen Kreuzes mit Eichenlaub)). The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross and its higher grade Oak Leaves was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. Von Lützow was born near Marienwerder.〔Grossman 2005, p. 274.〕 He was captured by the Soviet army in 1944 in an encirclement near Bobruisk. In Moscow on June 29, 1950, he was sentenced to 25-years in prison for war crimes.
